As a former journalist as well as businessman, Malcolm Turnbull has followed this movements of Australian marketing for over 30 years.
He says the advent of social media has influenced the quality of news reporting because the pressure to deliever content to Aussie audiences instantly.
"That puts substantial pressure on journalists since they will be working much, much harder with no more money, in fact often at a lower price, and it puts a lot of pressure naturally on politicians."
For a journo turned politician, Mr Turnbull says there is always tension between reporters plus members of parliament.
