Yes, arranged flowers are insanely expensive. I did mine myself, and was able to order them through a florist for only $350. I had tulips, hyacinth and daffodils (I was married in early spring) for myself, my girls and the reception. They came in a large pandora charms on sale bucket, and we simply pandora charms on sale clipped the stems and tied ribbons around a few of them to carry. The rest went into bud vases (also purchased) at the reception site. I ordered corsages and boutineers (sp?) for the men and family members from Sam's Club and they were only $100. But again, these are all minimal expenses that add up very quickly.
Reception lucked out to have a relative with a beautiful home who loved to throw parties. It was more of a coctail type party, and everyone had comfortable places to sit a visit. We had about 100 people.
Food again lucked out with some of our parents friends who contributed signature gourmet dishes. My husband and I made many dishes ahead of time using ideas from bridal magizines. We had a friend who was starting a catering business to fill in the rest and set everything up. We borrowed enough silver serving pieces to have a beautiful table. The food was fantastic.
No extra cost for music we just put lovely music on the stereo already in place.
Bridesmaids dresses coctail dresses that they were able to wear again for Christmas parties. They got together pandora charms cheap to compare notes on who had what shoes, jewerly etc. to keep costs down. I gave them earrings to wear as their present.
Limo didn't have one, gladly drove off with my new husband in our Saturn.
One of my favorite parts of the whole event was breakfast the next day. We stayed at the same hotel as pandora 2016 most of our out of town friends and were able to spend time together away from all the other craziness.
