"People had the impression that the women wearing the veil were abused by men. In ten years Irrrve never met a female who was instructed to wear the veil with a man," she says.
"People presented this clich that Muslim women needed to be saved from men."
De Fo says the 2010 ban has only helped to normalise and encourage Islamophobia in France.
"We now reside in a society where individuals think it's normal to insult Muslim women wearing the entire veil just because they are disobeying the law," she says, pointing to a few unsavoury incidents in recent years including women being attacked inside them for hours their veils achieved their faces.

"The more these women are insulted, the harder they feel they're not accepted in France. It's actually a total rupture with society."
She argues the law has encouraged the level of "communitarianism", which France is ever desperate to avoid, because those who insist on wearing the niqab stay in the housing estates their homes.
"The don't leave for anxiety about being insulted or stopped by police," de Fo says.
Before 2010 there were considered to be only around 2,000 Muslim women wearing the veil in France, but based on De Fo the motivation for many women who wear the veil presently has altered.
Many niqab wearers are young converts, single ladies and often divorced.
"Before the ban most Muslim women wore the veil for religious reasons," she says. "Now most of the women who wear the niqab, started doing so after the law was introduced. They changed into Islam and began wearing the veil because it became an identity Cheap Ray Ban Sale to them.

Nicolas Cadenne from France Secularism Observatory agreed.

That view is copied by the figures released from France's interior ministry to coincide with the five year anniversary considering that the law was brought in.
Since the burqa ban arrived to force as many as 1,623 stops happen to be made by police and 1,546 fines of 150 given away, but only Ray Ban Wayfarer 90% off against 908 women.
For many of those controls have involved stopping repeat offenders. Indeed one woman has become fined 33 times and five girls have been fined a lot more than 14 times each.
And the number of fines being given out is on the rise, with 234 being issued this year compared to 397 in 2014.
What sort of law has become applied has also been a problem with many police officers more inclined to turn a blind eye, specially in sensitive suburbs, where relations between local youths and information already fraught.
