I actually have some hope for it. I probably won go and see it in theaters, but there was a particular line in the trailer that sort of makes me excited to see what they do with it
When the machine fights the system releases signals into alex brain making him think he in control. But he not, its the illusion of free will.
I read a decent amount of philosophy literature, including philosophy of mind type stuff. This is an old idea, and seeing how uggs clearance they play with it in the movie will be interesting.
But that is about it. Other than that I don really see anything in particular that is a bad movie, or at least it won be any different than any other standard action ugg boots clearance outlet film. It may not be quite uggs clearance as similar to the original themes in the original robocop, but really if I wanted to watch robocop I would go watch robocop. So with that in mind, I always like when movies try and ugg boots cyber monday do something new rather than just give an updated graphics of the original. Much of the (shockingly brutal by 1987 standards) violence was either presented in a morbidly funny way or being laughed at by the characters in the film.
The brutal death of Alex Murphy was a source of laughs for his killers and IMO is one of the focal points of the movie. In the new trailer, it seems Murphy is quickly and cleanly disposed of by a car bomb. He missing a few bits, but he looks a damn sight better than Peter Weller did. Surely not a death scene that lingers and makes you wish they put the poor man down and get it over with.
I guess I expecting there to be no real spirit to this one. They could have a field day with satire on this what with the militarization ugg christmas boots of the police that occurred in the last 15 years, remote warfare, the surveillance society, etc.
Instead, it feels like this is going to be a standard action shoot em up, with the brutality somewhat intact for its own sake (and to be "badass")He was talking about both, but I was talking about the shitty Stallone one. The recent one is just called Dredd btw (according to IMDB and most listings for it I seen). The 3D version of it is called Dredd 3D, but that not an uncommon way to list a 3D version of a movie these days.
EDIT: Also I do agree the studio screwed the pooch on marketing for Dredd. It was made in an era where a fear of what it meant for humanity to have become such a destructive animal was brought into a stark light. That message rings true still today, and is a message that was completely lost in the remake.
