Interestingly, some of these places are producing state health inspectors numerous trouble, and the people currently in some of these places are living in filth.
Vicki McGahee and Brenda Stalzer spent months going to more than 30 residential care homes across the state. They went in to inspect the actual living conditions, life plus safety features, and the overall quality lifestyle these facilities provide for nys poor and disabled.

Stalzer and McGahee benefit a unit called Protection and also Advocacy, a group that helps DHEC inspect residential care homes.
