Staff have already been banned while using the Cumberland Infirmary's main car park to help ease severe parking problems.

Frustrations regularly run high as people struggle to find a space on the Carlisle hospital   with reports of individuals being late oakley sunglasses wholesale for appointments because of it.

The issue has been a growing source of complaint from patients, visitors and staff, prompting pledges that the crisis could be tackled.

Any adverse health watchdog has previously described parking with the hospital as not fit for purpose.

Each time a reporter from The Cumberland News tried to find a parking space at the hospital last year, it took her 52 minutes.

As part of plans details on the trust board in March, members informed that parking had been organised so that patients and visitors have their own designated zone with 316 spaces.
