Tell us about the Oscars

ET. While hosts Brooke Anderson, Kareen Wynter and AJ Hammer look over the red carpet, you'll have an opportunity to comment on the gorgeous gowns, natty tuxes or out of place fashion faux pas. So watch the show and come by the blog   your comment may appear on CNN!

I have been watching the Oscars for years now and evey year that goes the show looses its touch and for that I am very sorry for whatever reasone it may be. I mean Hollywood is where all the creativity comes from its where all the stars and movies are born and las t but not least it is where the Oscars are announced. So I dont realy understand where is the missing link.

Now to the Oscars itself. The changes where unexpected so bravo to that. Hugh Jackmans performance was acceptable but it was missing its Oscar humor. and did we they not show Heath image when they were showing all the all the great ones that past away????

One thing that the pandora charms cheap Academy has either forgoten or lost is the Oscars true value. Am sorry to say this but like I said it has lost its magic touch. Am thinking hosting performance and humor ( jokes, sarcasm )

I trully hope that the avcademy still hs its magic left because it would be a great shame to loose us the viewers.

After reviewing the winners of the 81st Academy Awards (Oscars), I must say I was overwhelmingly relieved that The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, starring Brad Pitt did not win in the category of Writing (Adapted Screenplay). Although it received numerous nominations and was victorious in the categories of Visual Effects, Make Up and Art Direction, the film did not portray an accurate depiction of F. Scott Fitzgerald's literary work.

I was simply marveled at Taraji P. Henson's mammy role in film and found myself repulsed and perplexed about the implementation of such character.

Mama, a stereotyped character, is the relentless effort of many film makers to continue to confine African American female actresses. Whether the image a stereotype projects is positive or negative, it still serves the purpose of limiting the range of human behaviors and emotions that viewers will ascribe to a stereotyped group; and as result, the creation of "flat" characters. As African American women appeared in films throughout the 1930s as mammies and maids, Hattie McDaniels emerged with an Oscar for her mammy role in Gone With the Wind (1939). Although this transpired 70 years ago, maybe Roth was aiming to reenact history, as Taraji P. Henson was nominated for Best Actress in a Supporting pandora outlet Role.

Henson's character as Benjamin's Mama, and maid to all the other whites in the home, highly fears the Lord and finds pity on bizarre born Benjamin, after his biological pandora charms deals father drops him off on the door step of an Elderly Care Center where Henson finds him, and where she and several other blacks work as maids and butlers. Henson rears Benjamin as her son, and like other traditionally stereotyped black female characters, she reverence God in her efforts to make morally just decisions, is extremely loyal to Benjamin, does not hesitate to lie, engages in pre marital sex and even displays the typical sass of an angry black woman. What a minstrel show!

Roth hit the hammer on the head with the recreation of the mammy figure. Nevertheless, I am still quite baffled at his creation. Fitzgerald writes of a baby who was pandora charms outlet indeed born bizarre (mother dies while giving birth  born aged becomes younger); however, he also gave this boy a loving father, Mr. Thomas Button   who rears him with superb fairness. Maybe that father son story would have been too much like the Pursuit of Happiness for Eric Roth, but this revised Curious Case of Benjamin Button is too much like a minstrel Forrest Gump remix to me. I don know, for some reason, I felt like I was in 6th grade all over again watching the overall, the host did went all out or I don know if it was me, but I think they gave more dancing auditions than that new reality show. I don know but they tried to mix it up, we did say it a bit too much, to say the least BUT we do like to say that Wolverine probably did better than previous hosts. Wolverine not only went berserk through the whole show(which I give him a B  on overall performance), but also sacrificed, just hopefully it was worth it to him because all we cared were the pandora charms sale clearance winners or upsets anyone made, is baout the money baby.

Ohh and did somebody tell pandora charms on sale Letterman about the bid?? Hey, they should be grateful they are getting a down payment in these times, LOL!! All cash, all cash baby.

I felt the Oscars this year were one of my favorite in many years. I enjoyed the design of the theatre with the orchestra on stage, and the presenters appeared to be so close to the audiance. My most favorite feature of the evening was having 5 former Oscar winners for each actor/actress supporting actor/actress catagory present a very personalized introduction of each one nominated  so exciting for the audiance to see what were going to be featured, what each were going to say and the emotional reaction of the nominee thought that was just wonderful and exciting to see.

The Oscars revealed that one way to unite everyone is through an artistic form of art such as the movies. In this season and age, Oscars never fail to rise from the ranks by breaking all International barriers.

Despite the global crisis, it shows that the Oscars is a clear testimony that there is hope in the industry and everyone is given pandora rings canada a fair chance through a prestigious award giving body such as the Academy Awards. And that we can rise above any challenges if we keep the passion in anything that we do and if we strive to do all things with humility and hard work.

Heath Ledger was deserving of a posthumous award. Without a doubt Oscars, as always, is quite clever to add him to the list that defies their standard procedures, making Heath such a rare exception. However, I still think Oscars should have paid him a tribute for his exceptional talent and remarkable contribution in the film industry. It would've been a lot better had they added such dramatic moment to the Oscars.

I really do not have any interest in this. Overpaid, overhyped actors that are paid far too much attention. In these tough economic times do we really need to have a show that displays people that have far too much for doing so little? More and more if these are created. Most actors are type personalities that crave attention, yet complain when people want to take their picture or get an autograph.

They are JUST actors, they add next to nothing to humanity. Maybe it is time to flush Hollywood and start over?
