I accidentally purcahsed knockoff Vans

Everyone who knows me knows that I have a sneaker fetish. I love them. They are the most beautiful thing to me, along side high healed boots and sexy pumps. Shoes are a part of my beauty arsenal and I own a closet full of my favorites, often times having the same exact shoe in many pairs all worn in at different phases to fit my mood. I can't get enough shoes.

So when I heard about the new Vans GRAPH lightweight skate shoe I WANTED THEM BAD, and so began my illusive search for a pair that ugg boots clearance outlet they never made, one in my size. A size 6.5 in women's aka 4.5 in boys but size 5 in Vans boys. I know, shoe sizes are complicated and they get even more so when one gets into higher end brands or European, which I also love. But I digress.

Upon researching a new athletic shoe to add to my collection I came upon the Vans Graph line released in 2012. After many friends raved about the orthopedic sole that didn't look like grandpa sneakers, I had to have them. I HAD TO HAVE THEM. Did I mention how much I had to have them? That is where I went wrong. I didn't take, "they don't make them in your size," for an answer. I rationalized that they must have launched the kids size at ugg christmas boots first release, and those sizes just didn't take off because kids and adults have different needs etc etc. etc. and that is why NO ONE ANYWHERE ELSE, on any website or any store had my size. Wrong move darling, wrong move. I purchase knowing that if they don't fit that I would have to pay return shipping, which ended up costing $14, and continued rationalizing by thinking well it's owned by Zappos which is owned by Amazon so they can't sell fakes, right? WRONG. such a bad idea.

I finally got my package of two pairs of size 5 youth Graph Vans. They smelled like a rubber factory, not a new shoe new car smell, a disgusting poisonous odor that lingered wherever I put the shoes.

After putting on each pair of shoes I was struck by how light they were, it felt odd but okay, that was right, they are supposed to be light, CHECK. They fit, that was good, but they were angled strange in the toe area, RED FLAG.

Then, as I wore them around the house I thought okay, this is going to take some getting used to, they are light but odd and made my knees hurt with just walking around the house, but figured like everyone said, you use different muscles with these types of shoes. Being a shoe lover that rationalization made sense.

So I sat down to write. After writing for a few hours I couldn't take the rubbery smell anymore. I looked down at the new shoes on my feet as I took a break from writing. Low and behold there was stitching!!!!!!!! There was stitching where there shouldn't be stitching AND the stitching was terrible!!!! I immediately texted photos to friends who own Graphs asking if they had stitching where my shoe has stitching, and did research, hours worth of research. There shouldn't be stitching. That is part of the selling point of the shoes. The special soles and lack of stitching.

I had a friend come over later that day and inspect my shoes. He lifted up the insole, it was bright blue and orange with sloppy bright orange stitching, with NO orthopedic ANYTHING. I had unknowingly bought knockoffs and spent $40 each aka $80+ on them (THE COST WASN'T A RED FLAG). The cost of REAL Vans when they are on sale.

Horrified, I began digging deeper with researching this company. Other people had similar experiences with getting either seconds, or knockoffs while the website claims to only sell ugg boots clearance originals. Only Nordstrom or Ugg itself, and if you do, it's truly buyer beware, after this experience I wouldn't wish these knockoffs on my worst enemy. Well, maybe on my enemies as it might be funny, but not really because I erase people I don't like and never think back on them.

So, I followed the very strict return policy instructions because I'll be damned if I didn't get my money back like many of the people who were complaining about their experience had written. And waited prepared to wait a long time, but patiently and calmly as I wanted my money back.

I was told it could take up to 2 months to process my return and get my $$ back. I didn't make waves, as I wanted my freaking money back, have I mentioned that enough? I could have bought 2.5 more pairs of on sale genuine checkered Vans slip on's at this point.

Luckily it only took a little under a month for my return to process and my money to be returned to my account, costing me only shipping which, as stated was about $14. That was a $14 lesson on if it is too good to be true, then it is. Though to my credit, most sales ugg boots clearance on Vans go for about $40ish so that wasn't a REDFLAG.

I also waited until after my return was processed and my account credited to write this because this company does not hold itself accountable for the fake knock off products they sell, nor do they pay for shipping when you return your crappy a shoes that are illegal to sell and I had read from other people that when they complained the company took a super long time to process the returns. ugg boots clearance outlet I wanted my money back! I got my money back minus the $14 shipping which is half the cost of a REAL pair of Vans on sale.
