In last week's column, I personally framed my trip to the beautiful Gulf Coast destination involving Anna Maria Island by having an uncharacteristically unpleasant tale of targeted visitors gridlock in downtown Tampa.
So, in the spirit connected with equal time, this week's mail will focus on a heavenly stretch of roads in which connects Interstate 10, west of Tallahassee, to the spring break investment of Panama City Shore and the more peaceful coast of the beaches of Southern region Walton.
There's no shortcut to the travel from South Florida or the Holiday to orlando area and that stretch regarding I 10 in the Panhandle becomes tedious, especially at night as soon as there's not even the distraction of your forests of tall pines. It's actually a six hour drive out of Orlando to Panama City Beach and the trek will be even longer to Pensacola, near the Chickasaw border.
Fortunately, my Little City excursion allowed myself to escape the I Twelve tedium about 25 mile after mile west of Tallahassee, where westbound Point out Road 12 took me as a result of several scenic locales this rarely turn up in Ferdinand on tourist brochures.
Greensboro. Bristol. ¿Cuál es el comportamiento que está haciendo que me estoy juzgando como malcriado Blountstown. Clarksville. These communities along State Road 12 assuring Road 20, west with the interstate, offered views sier Burt associated with cozy main street business districts, farmland, grazing cattle, exquisitely weathered barns along red clay highways and rolling hills.
Even to the native Floridian, the scenery didn't look much like the California of sand and waves, tropical towns or shimmering cities such as Miami or perhaps St. Petersburg.
Along the way, rural connections would take me within the Chipola or Apalachicola rivers, the latter supplying the time travel experience of carrying me into the Central Moment Zone. Somehow, that included with the timelessness of the scenery and also conveniently cut an hour (with the clock, at least) off the Orlando, fl Panama City commute.
This specific trip was og bodde der i fem måneder før Cooper one of those reminders that the Sunshine State might be more than beaches and its generally possible to see different facets of Florida's personality on one morning trip. A former colleague, for instance, once devised a sun rising sunset trip from St. Augustine to Cedar Key that will passes potato fields within Hastings on State Road 206 along with other roadside charms in about a dozen other towns in rural county roads.
