Enniscorthy Town Council held a civic reception in the 1798 Focus on Friday night as an official thank you to Christian Inlaws and their 150 years with Enniscorthy.
The last Christian Brothers in the city Br Ger O'Connell, Br Cripps, Br Capricorn Canny and Br Billy Ryan had been just some of the Brothers exactly who attended the reception along with past pupils Minister regarding State John Browne, TD Paul Kehoe, local manager Eddie Breen and a number of nation councillors.

On September 1 1857, the 2 main first Christian Brothers, Bedroom Philip Slattery and Anthony Cogan, arrived in Enniscorthy and took charge of an old school alongside the chapel.
'All past pupils in the CBS, some of whom can be found at this function, have various memories of their school times many can recall happy days spent in the educational setting, they found no difficulty with their academic pursuits, and some found the school regime hard to cope with and some don't don't forget their school days with any fondness,' said Cllr Doyle.
