Adding to the list of times that surprise many of us (Embrace Day, Purple Day, Considering Day, Towel Day) now we have National Cookie Day (December. 4). But in contrast to Towel Day (May 30), National Cookie Day pleasures me.
Potlucks, birthdays, bake profits, graduations, Christmases, hellos, goodbyes, snowy days and sunshine have all been occasions enriched with batches of our household homemade chocolate chip cookies. I started the baking chocolate chip cookies when I fell for each other for the first time in high school. I personally soon left my boyfriend behind but have continuing baking for the next 40 years.
My kids started dragging chairs to the counter for sticky fingers in cookie funds soon after they learned to run. Now, decades later, exclusively our golden retriever remains   nestled by my feet watching for a chocolate chip as well as teaspoon of brown carbohydrates to fall.
