The American Indian Family Center (AIFC), located in East E Paul, is the recipient of some sort of $50,000 community center remodel grant from the Drops of excellent Community Project.
On September 7, AIFC held a bow cutting ceremony to tag the completion of the renovations. As well as community members, volunteers, and associates from the organizations that backed up the project, special guests involved Minnesota Congresswoman Betty McCollum, Saint Robert Mayor Chris Coleman, and previous Minnesota Twins pitcher Kaira Radke.

Preparations to the renovations started in late July. AIFC was initially instructed to put together a wish number of renovations that they narrowed down to several key items once they ended up being notified of their selection. "Making those kinds of lifestyle changes is fairly challenging, so we want to make that meaningful and fun,In said LaFloe. "Those are the kinds of variations that sustain improved manners and healthy lifestyles.Inch
LaFloe also feels that the remodeling of the lobby area is especially significant to AIFC's work.
"It's necessary for our families to sense valued as community people," said LaFloe. "Coming into a beautiful space helps us start building this relationship and making them feel welcomed and valued.Inches
At final count, Hundred volunteers came out to support AIFC on July 7 to finish renovations and celebrate.
"The American Indian Relatives Center is humbled to accept and become a part of the whole Drops of fine Community Project," reported LaFloe. "It makes your heart feel good to see so many people come out."
