KEY PLAYERS RETURNING: Grams Janelle Frey (Jr., 17 3 pointers last season), G Rachel Hess (Sr.), Grams Steph Latschar (Sr.), F Jess Martin (Jr., 12.1 points per game previous season).
KEY NEWCOMERS: H Malika Ballard (So.), G Chensia Burgos (Sr.), G Hannah Corcoran (Fr.), Gary Haley Evans (So.), G Hannah Lapp (Jr.), G Brittany Martin (So.), G Auryonah Nash (So.), Gary the gadget guy Gloriann Plank (Fr.), G Ellie Schuerich (Fr.), F ree p Brianna Shenk (Jr.), F Anastasia Stratton (Jr.), Y Cheyenne Ware (Jr.)
KEEP AN EYE ON: Junior lower post standout Jess Martin, who broke onto the scene last season with some nimble moves in the paint, a nice touch about the glass and shot blocking skills aplenty. Wiry but strong and might finish and alter shots. Will likely be called upon to win a number of major wars in the colour against Elizabethtown's Sarah Fairbanks, Solanco's Ashlee Harrison, Ephrata's Alison Weaver, Garden Spot's Julia O'Brien and Lebanon's Gemiqua Benjamin. And Martin will more than hold her own because of the woman athleticism and ability to score from the basic and in transition. Bright a couple of seasons ahead for this lady. She's a player.
OUTLOOK: It was a couple of years here since Continue has made a serious run on the Section 2 title, just after winning crowns in 2007 05 and 2006 07. Only a hunch, but the Buckskins should be extremely popular title hunt this time around using Martin patrolling the middle, Janelle Frey shooting from distance and Rachel Hess getting more minutes handling up front. Losing baseliner and crasher Kirsten Madonna will sting   she did quite a number of dirty work for the Dollars in her three seasons around the varsity   but there is some little talent here, and in Martin, Application has a legit go to scorer as well as rebounder in the post, in addition to her D should interest some breakouts   fastbreak style   other way. Big thing with the Portion 2 teams are those crossovers contrary to the Section 1 teams. When CV can pick off several those (Bucks will have the type in the middle to hang), then be expecting them to be there come January.
REINHART SAYS: Not looking forward to predicting the Section 2 competition because there are any number of teams to choose from with a legit shot to win it. With Martin along with Frey   a solid inside outside, Just one 2 punch duo   a Bucks have the goods for being one of those teams. If a number of the newcomers pan out, I would not want to play CV around the stretch.
KEY PLAYERS RETURNING: G Emily Carter (Jr ..), G Katie Carter (Jr.), F Sarah Fairbanks (So., 13.6 points per online game last season), G Brianna Kuhn (Junior.), G Jenna Rosenberry (Jr.).
KEY Novices: G Amanda Blecher (Sr.), G Saraya Brown (Fr.), G Courtney Dimmig (Jr.), G Kaitlyn Lyons (So.), G Mandy Martin (Fr.), F Nellie Marsh (Jr.), F Cassidy Minneci (So.), G Taylor Reinhold (Fr.), G Samantha Sallade (Jr ..), G Erin Sollenberger (Fr.), G Katie Wilson (Sr.).
Keep close track of: Super sophomore Sarah Fairbanks, who had a breakout freshman season for the Carries last winter, scoring 301 points and averaging an 1 Januar aber sie hielten die Öffentlichkeit zu raten über die Namen der Kinder  20 organization best 13.6 items per game while establishing herself as a serious very low post threat and rebounding equipment around the L L Little league. Bright, bright future for Fairbanks, which gets to the foul range a ton, and gets gobs of points on stickbacks. Can easily run the floor and finish, too. And she'll block   or alter   your shot. On 6 2 and nimble, she's poised to become the top all around low post chance in the league; she's solely going to get better. Remember the name: Sarah Fairbanks.
OUTLOOK: Intriguing. On its way off a 2 22 time of year, the Bears came out of hibernation along with went 10 12 very last season, just barely missing out on some sort of postseason bid. Having the spry Becca Bigler running the bottom and grabbing boards contributed to the turnaround. And, as i have said, Fairbanks, as a freshman starter, made a huge splash. And in Bri Kuhn, the Bears have a legit playmaker inside the backcourt that can handle the mountain and hit the J. Just one (uno) senior on Robert Pericci's roster, so these Carries might be growling for a while   especially with Fairbanks in the post and Kuhn up front. Don't forget about E community, y'all.
REINHART SAYS: Not saying E community is going to win the Part 2 derby, but I firmly feel the Bears will be significant players and a factor as soon as February hits. Fairbanks is a distinctive talent, and there will be days when she'll throw the woman team on her back and carry them to wins (keep watch over her free throw statistics, which should be staggering). Won't be long before she's a household brand around the league. Fairbanks will need main help, of course, for Elizabeth town to be in the contest. Kuhn will need help on the border for sure. If she gets that assist   and if Fairbanks stays healthy, keeps out of foul trouble plus does her thing   check for E town. Insert growling bear sound here.
LAST SEASON: 10 6 Area 2 (outright champs); 14 14 overall (Lost to later champ Lancaster Mennonite 62 30 inside L L League semifinals; missing to Harrisburg 57 51 in a District 3 Quad A pigtail participate in in game).
KEY PLAYERS LOST: G Claire Woolley, G July Woolley, G Aly Goodman (14.3 factors per game and 24 3 pointers last period).
KEY PLAYERS RETURNING: P oker Mel Andrew (Sr.), G Kat Andriani (Jr.), Gary the gadget guy Kristy Liebl (Jr.), F Alison Weaver (Sr.).
KEY Novices: G Abby Binkley (So.), G File suit Hartlove (So.), G Ashley Mayer (So.), Gary Jill Miller (Sr.), F Sheldon Parnick (Sr.), F Kirsten Sensenig, G Sarah Shearer (Fr.), G Rachel Stauffer (And so.), G Kayla Shirk (Jr.), G Lauren Smith (Jr.), F Courtney Weaver (So.), Gary Lindsey Zwally (So.).
KEEP AN EYE ON: Active elderly forward Alison Weaver in the post place. She will be called upon for most major glass matchups in the approaching months. Like when Conestoga Valley's Jess Martin arrives calling. And when Elizabethtown's Sarah Fairbanks comes calling. And when Lebanon's Gemiqua Benjamin occurs calling. And when Solanco's Ashlee Harrison comes calling. And when Garden Spot's Julia O'Brien comes getting in touch with. Should be some fantastic posting wars in Section 2 this season, and Weaver will likely be in the center of all of them. Good rebounder plus paint patroller. And she developed a awesome baseline jumper and transformation shot a year ago in Ephrata's 50 percent court sets. The Part 2 champ very easily can come down to best post play. And in Weaver, the Mounts get one of the best (and most experienced) article players in the section. Usually do not overlook that nugget.
OUTLOOK: Still plenty of good vibes going around in Ephrata, where the Mountaineers brought household the section championship in 2009 with a 10 6 league mark. The crossover activities against the Section 1 groups haven't been very kind to help Section 2 combatants over the last number of years, but Ephrata hung in, decided on off a couple of Section 1 heavyweights, and won the crown, holding off hard charging Solanco at the wire. And the Mounts continue to have plenty in the tank with Weaver in the middle, surrounded by lefties Mel Andrew and also Kat Andriani and speedy defensive whiz Kristy Liebl. Andrew can finish and board, and Andriani is wiry and can rip. Losing sharpshooter Aly Goodman and her all around scoring prowess will prickle. But this was a defensive minded team last season, and a good chunk of those defense first players are back in the saddle. Could be another appealing run for the Mounts. We're going to see how they respond to is the hunted.
REINHART SAYS: Not quite able to put the bull's eye on the Wall mounts. But the more I eyeball the roster, the more recognizable names I see. And those brands were key cogs on a team that hunkered in, played beneficial full court D, along with won the section subject fair and square past winter. Ephrata wasn't the coolest team around, but the Wall mounts worked hard on the glass and created the most out of their possessions. Had a hunch that the section great just might go through Ephrata again. These are the basic champions until someone dethrones these individuals. Happy hunting.
KEY Novices: F Molly Ammons (Fr.), G Elizabeth Bauman (Fr.), M Rachel Billy (So.), F Madeline Craver (Fr.), F Alyssa Daly (Fr.), Grams Stephanie High (So.), F Rachel Horoff (Thus.), G Brittany Horst (Jr.), F Angela Huyett (Fr.), P oker Danielle Junto (Jr.), G Alison Smith (Fr.), G Lauren Taylor (Sr.).
KEEP AN EYE ON: Julia O'Brien, the Spartans' 6 Two junior shot blocker and enforcer. Begun mit der Absicht coming into her own last season with eight double number scoring games, and is prepared to become one of the most dangerous low post threats in the league. She'll need to be on her digits often in Section Two, which features some of the best low participants in the L L Group. Big brother is Todd, the former Garden Spot standout who now starts for E. Joe's. Said it before but I am going to say it again   major, significant post players call Section 2 home. If the Spartans plan to be in the race, mais de mon point de vue  38 they'll need to have O'Brien to take care of business in the paint. Period.
OUTLOOK: The Spartans ended up being last season's pick to help win the Section 3 crown. And with sleek scorer in addition to defender Breanna Caldwell back in the fold, Back garden Spot was a safe bet for being there down the stretch. Next, in just the second game of 12 months, Caldwell went down with a season stopping knee injury and the Spartans   striving without their leading scorer as well as a bit green around the corners   were never a factor in the portion race and came no place close to sniffing the postseason. Kevin Gensemer ended up playing a ton of underclassman, and while that they took some lumps, a big chunk of them return to type a pretty good nucleus in New The low countries. Not the section faves, but watch: Spartans are going to win some games people feel they shouldn't.
REINHART SAYS: An individual senior on the roster   Lauren Taylor, whom returns to the team immediately after taking her junior period off to concentrate on field tennis. The work paid off; Taylor earned the scholarship to Shippensburg. She'll revisit the court this winter. Not sure if the Spartans are ready to tango with past season's top two portion finishers: Ephrata and Solanco. But I definitely assume Garden Spot will make somewhat more positive noise this season, especially if O'Brien can be a force and if the actual Spartans can find a legit Not any. 1 perimeter scorer now that Yunginger has moved on to E area College. They'll miss the girl point prowess as well. There could be some more growing discomfort ahead for Garden Position. But the Spartans will be heard from. Quickly. Be patient, New Holland.
Crucial PLAYERS RETURNING: F Gemiqua Ben (Jr., 10.6 points per game last year or so), G Sadie Eisenhour (So.), F Malia Harris (Jr ..), F Ellen Imboden (Sr.), G Brittany Padillas (Jr., 18 3 pointers last period), F Liz Rios (Jr., 15 A few pointers last season), Gary Jess Rivera (Jr.), F Ashley Uhler (Jr.).
Critical NEWCOMERS: G Turquoise Allen (Jr.), G Amanda Avila (So.), Grams Shenika Baltimore (Jr.), G Amanda Boyer (Jr ..), G Anissa Corbin (So.), F Ashley Effrece (Jr.), F Andrea Loeper (So.), F Josette Reich (And so.), F Vanessa Rosario (So.), G Ashlynn Rufe (Fr.), F Jess Torres (Sr.), G Alexa Vazquez (So.), Grams Cassie Verroca (So.).
KEEP AN EYE ON: Imposing 7 1 junior post chance Gemiqua Benjamin, who made an amazing splash in her first two conditions patrolling the paint for the Cedars. The lady averaged 8.4 points a game title and started right out of the gates in the freshman season two years before, establishing herself as a low post and glass clean-up threat in Section A few. Section 2 is rich in power forward types, and so Benjamin should find himself in a lot of glass battles within the coming months. And with the woman's power and explosiveness, she should really handle herself quite well from the likes of Conestoga Valley's Jess Martin, Solanco's Ashlee Harrison, Elizabethtown's Sarah Fairbanks, Ephrata's Alison Weaver along with Garden Spot's Julia O'Brien. Also hearing several Ivy League schools are interested le bénéfice net de BBVA était de 2 in Benjamin, so she could have a very bright future ahead of her. In the meantime, she'll man the submit for the Cedars, who should have several pretty big expectations there is much surprise.
OUTLOOK: As mentioned, expectations from Lebanon should be a heck of a lot higher this season. The Cedars gain three, three year rookies in Benjamin, a major cup eater and shot blocker; Liz Rios, a reliable frontward who can crash and rating from the wing; and Brittany Padillas, a simple guard who is tough around transition and who can step back and bury the 3. That trio, all juniors, has been by way of a lot of wars   in Part 2 and Section 3. So they should be battle evaluated and ready to lead the military on a serious run to the top Section 2 charts inside the coming months. Do no forget Lebanon.
REINHART SAYS: Section 2 might be a beauty this season, and it affirms here that if the troika of Benjamin, Rios and Padillas do its thing, there's no reason to feel Lebanon won't be with the lead package come the first week of February. Those three need some help for sure   Ellen Imboden and Ashley Uhler currently have both played major school minutes   and if the newbies can make a splash (kind of like how Benjamin, Rios and Padillas did whenever they were young pups), take a look out for Lebanon. Sleeper group alert for sure.
LAST Period: 9 7 Section Only two; 12 12 overall (Shed to Lampeter Strasburg 69 45 in the L L League quarterfinals; dropped to Spring Grove 51 Forty two in a District 3 Quad A new pigtail play in game).
Major PLAYERS LOST: G Megan Erb, F Samantha Glackin, F Randi Price.
KEY Gamers RETURNING: G Emily Allport (And so.), F Ashlee Harrison (So.), G Mackenzie Important factors (So.), G Taylor Kreider (Sr., 16.Hunting for points per game continue season).
