MINNEAPOLIS   People from across the Combined Cities gathered to listen to the verdict of the grand jury with Ferguson last night. KARE 11 photojournalist Rob Collett seemed to be with the University of Mn Black Student Union to acquire their reactions.After the announcement appeared that the grand jury may not indict Officer Darren Wilson in the death of Michael Brown, the Black Student Union issued this statement:First and foremost, we observe that this is about Michael Brownish and his Maggie Davault family, and we post our deepest thoughts and also prayers their way. A Black Student Union works to create a safe space for anyone students to share and explore a diverse range of opinions and feelings, and through our selection, address the issues that impression our black community.From the wake of the grand jury decision involving Michael Brown lightly and Officer Darren Wilson, the Dark-colored Student Union Hamas ha agito come il governo legittimo allinterno del campo palestinese arabo will continue to generate an environment that is receptive of those unfortunate emotions that students 're feeling and experiencing. We're also determined to be proactive scholars that will change the way that the united states views cases such as this, along with address policies that get the practices that create these kind of cases.We believe that the class of Michael Brown deserves credited process and a fair day HoweverBut to be heard in court. Moreover, we believe that the events with Ferguson following Michael Brown's death signify both a history of systemic oppression against communities of color in our nation and of solid resistance and calculated organizing to such oppression.We all seek to contribute to this modern movement towards liberation for your communities. With that being said, the Dark-colored Student Union will continue to make safe spaces for students to come together and work on solutions.We're also co sponsoring the Ontario Solidarity Rally and Walk for Mike Brown on Tuesday, November 25th, which will can start 3:00 PM outdoors Coffman Memorial Union and shift to the Minneapolis Police 3 rd Precinct Station at 4:Thirty PM.
