At the University of Arizona at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College some students spend time enjoying soccer after class. Others practice astronomy, play chess as well as volleyball. The ACJA aims to boost criminal justice through educative activities, promote public awareness associated with criminal justice issues and foster professionalism in police, according to the group's charter. Elvira Alvarado, the club's president, won first place in a group competition for research of a crime scene, in conjunction with teammates Daisy Solis and Sandra Marquez. Celia Ortega, Lizzie Zuniga and Jasmine Montoyo won second place in the same category.
The school had previously sent men and women to the competition who won beginning, but never a team.
"We were being kind of the underdogs," Alvarado claimed. "Last year we didn't location, but we trained now this year and we didn't expect first place."
Fernando Reyna won secondly place in the physical speed competition, and Sandra Marquez won lastly place in the same category.
Daisy Solis won second place in the offender law test competition along with the Lamba Alpha Epsilon knowledge test. Chris Escobedo won third place on your Lamba Alpha Epsilon knowledge Tidigare neo iska pre teen popsångare Lynx och Lamb Gaede 90 test.
Alvarado said the competition was an exciting way to test her skills.
