THERE'S trouble brewing sinds 1985 tot 2034 after angry real ale users demanded Carlsberg reverse its determination to halt production of Birmingham's famous Ansells Mild.
They are calling on the international conglomerate, which now owns the actual Ansells brand, to continue brewing the actual beer for city consumers, furious over the decision in order to axe the traditional beer.
The controversial move was disclosed by the Birmingham Mail this morning. Pubs across the city have stopped serving the Hundred year old ale because it's not possible to obtain from Carlsberg.
The brewery huge has stated it will only reexamine if there is sufficient demand by landlords wanting to stock Ansells Slight.
A spokesman told A Birmingham Mail the cask ale could not be made to the high standards demanded by dieters if it was produced merely in small quantities.
But angry Ansells fan Jeremy Twomey Darlington County questioned the best way there could ever be enough interest on the drink if it is impossible to get hold of.
He said: "It is obviously a commercial conclusion and highly unlikely Ansells Mild will ever be brewed throughout cask form again."
Mister Twomey suggested renaming it Ansells Dark to get rid of the reputation of mild being a so called 'old man's drink'.
Former Greater london city councillor Martin Mullaney has joined this protests.
He commented for the Birmingham Mail website: "This is usually terrible news. Ansells Mild was a beautiful drink. In its halcyon days, it The Heathrow and Gatwick options had been shortlisted by the commission last December 034 was considered to be the best light in the UK.
